I am the Executive Director of Research and Scientific Support in Aspetar (Qatar). Before I joining Aspetar, I was the Head of Sports Physiology and Research at Aspire Academy in Doha (Qatar). Previously I was the Head of Sports Science and Research at the British Olympic Association leading Team GB’s scientific support for 3 Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010 and London 2012). I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the College of Life Sciences and Medicine at University College London, Division of Surgery and Interventional Medicine an Honorary Reader at University College London in the Department of Computer Sciences. I am also a Visiting Professor at the University of Plymouth Marjon (UK). I have a national habilitation as full professor from the Italian Ministry of University in the area 06/N2 Sports and Exercise Science.
